Leslie Powell
Leslie Powell is an award winning poet who writes about national and world issues and spirituality. She invites poets and others to join her in taking personal responsibility for creating a climate of tolerance and world peace.

Her poems connect the reader to a Higher Power and the spiritual principle upon which the Universe is based, unconditional love.

Her poem Peace Prayer, featured on this site, won an 2006 Editor's Choice Award from The International Library of Poetry (ILP) for Excellence in Poetry. Her poems are also featured on the ILP's Website and CD, Visions: Contemporary Poets Series.

Leslie has won numerous Editors Choice awards from the International Library of  Poetry and has been selected for the ILP's Best Poems and Poets and the International Who's Who in Poetry editions. Her poems can be found on the Internet at poetry.com. She is ranked as Poet Laureate and National Judge Advocate on the Poetry Workshop, poets.com.

Leslie received her B.A. in Psychology from U.C.L.A. and is listed in Marquis Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Women.

She lives in Los Angeles near her daughter's family.
